Projekt budowy Sanktuarium Matki Bożej Szkaplerznej w Musongati, diecezja Rutana, BurundiProjekt zbudowania Maryi, Matce i Królowej Karmelu, sanktuarium w Musongati należy do projektów flagowych Złotego Jubileuszu obecności Karmelitów Bosych w Burundi. Od chwili rozpoczęcia projektu upłynęło już prawie pół roku. To dużo i mało, biorąc pod uwagę rozmiar projektu z jednej strony, oraz trudności ekonomiczne i częściowo epidemiologiczne z drugiej. Na dzień dzisiejszy zostały ukończone mury kaplicy sanatoryjnej i trwają prace spawalnicze nad rozbudowana konstrukcją więźby dachowej. Ponadto już od kilku miesięcy rozpoczęły się prace nad trybuną, która ma pomieścić około 1500 pielgrzymów zapewniając miejsca siedzące. Trybuna będzie wykonana w kamieniu lokalnym.
Od października zamierzamy prowadzić równolegle rozbudowę lokalnej szkoły podstawowej, gdzie zamierzamy dobudować dwie klasy i wyremontować gruntownie cztery klasy już istniejące, których standard jest poniżej wszelkich norm. Czynimy to celem pomocy szkole ale i po to, aby móc odzyskać budynek znajdujący się na terenie sanktuarium, który był wypożyczany dla potrzeb szkoły. Bowiem trudno sobie wyobrazić funkcjonowanie szkoły w samym środku terenu sanatoryjnego.
W fazie projektowej znajdują się obecnie dwa kolejne budynki sanktuaryjne: sala konferencyjna i dormitoria dla pielgrzymów.

The idea to the Marian shrine in Musongati dedicated to our Lady of the Scapular is one of the flagship projects of the Golden Jubilee of Discalced Carmelites in Burundi. Almost six months have passed since we began this project. This is a lot and a little at the same time given the size of the project on the one hand and the economic and partly epidemiological difficulties on the other. Today, the walls of the Shrine Chapel have been completed and welding is underway on the extensive structure of the roof truss.
In addition, for several months, work has started on the stand, which is to accommodate about 1,500 pilgrims and provide seats. The tribune is being made of local stone.
From October, we intend to simultaneously expand the local primary school, where we have to add two classes and thoroughly renovate four already existing classes. Their standard is below all acceptable standards. We have got involved in it in order to help the school on the one hand, but also to be able to recover the building located in the sanctuary space, which was borrowed for the needs of the school on the other. Thus it is difficult to imagine a school functioning in the very center of the Shrine area.
There are currently two more Shrine buildings scheduled for the further phase of the project: a conference room and dormitories for pilgrims.

Projet de construction du Sanctuaire de Notre-Dame du Scapulaire à Musongati, Diocèse de Rutana, Burundi
Le projet d’ériger un Sanctuaire dédié à N.D. du Scapulaire à Musongati est l'un des projets phares du Jubilé d'Or des Carmes Déchaux au Burundi. Il y a six mois le projet a débité. C'est beaucoup et peu en même temps vu l’ampleur du projet d'une part et les difficultés économiques et aussi épidémiologiques d'autre part. À ce jour, les murs de la chapelle du sanctuaire sont terminés et le soudage est en cours sur la vaste structure de la charpente du toit. Par ailleurs, depuis plusieurs mois, des travaux ont démarré sur le stand (tribune), qui doit accueillir environ 1 500 pèlerins et fournir des places assises qui serons effectuées principalement en pierre locale.
A partir d'octobre, nous avons l'intention d'agrandir simultanément l'école primaire locale, où nous voulons d'ajouter deux classes et de rénover en profondeur quatre classes existantes, dont le niveau est en deçà de toutes les normes. Nous le faisons dans le but d'aider l'école d’une part, mais aussi pour pouvoir récupérer le bâtiment situé sur le territoire du sanctuaire, qui a été emprunté pour les besoins de l'école. Car il est difficile d'imaginer une école fonctionnant au cœur même de la zone du sanctuaire.
En outre, il y a à présent deux autres bâtiments du Sanctuaire en phase de conception : une salle de conférence et des dortoirs pour les pèlerins.
